Adnan Mahmutović was born in 1974 in Banja Luka, northern Bosnia and moved to Sweden as a refugee in 1993. His fiction deals with contemporary European history and issues of identity and home. He co-edited a book on "The Craft of Editing" with Lucy Durneen.
